Big fan here. Film, painting, photography, sculpture, he did it all. Although much of his paintings weren't in the same style as Warhol, many of his projects found their way into pop culture or were intended as such. Common everyday objects designed to look like unrelated objects (like a Mickey Mouse phone), he invented that shit with his Lip Chair. Amazing guy, with a few vehicles and cars in his works too.

I once had about 4-5 VERY expensive buff books about Dali (large format, semi-glosse paper, the works) and it sealed the deal for me- I mean don't get me wrong, Joan Miro, Rene Magritte, and the rest are great artists, but Dali was the real meal deal. I had a longing for a lobster phone for the longest bloody time.

then I found out when I was visiting my parents that my Mom had accidentally donated the books to the local library, because she thought they were library books I had forgotten to return.

It would take at least $800 to re-purchase all of those books now. Don't get me started on the MC Escher books she lumped into that damned box.
